Bas Mesters is journalist, interviewer and moderator. He focused on innovation strategies.He started his career in 1993 as a staff reporter at the dutch daily de Volkskrant, with special focus on immigration and integration issues.Mesters is a pioneer in the field of solution focused journalism. At the Academy of Journalism Windesheim he introduced as dean between 2014-2017 constructive journalism into the curriculum and into the research of this university of applied sciences. He was in 2011 the initiator of the journalistic project One11.nl, an example of solution focused journalism. It started as a New Year's present from journalists to the Netherlands on 1-1-11. An ad hoc coalition of hundred foreign correspondents and reporters from across the Dutch media participated for free. The websites one11.nl and one11world.org run stories on courageous pioneers around the world.
