As a part of the Product Lifecycle Management team I'm balancing a wide range of both internal and external stakeholders within a cross-functional project team. Finding (creative) supply chain solutions to meet stakeholders needs in technology-driven development projects with NPIs and improvements, is my main task. I'm achieving this by creating and maintaining project plans and proactively managing these. Think of (amongst others) material availability, consequences of (late) design changes on supply chain, incorporating logistics requirements into designs and alignment on engineering changes while safeguarding impact on supply chain.

As a Project Leader Supply Chain at Vanderlande, I am responsible for the complete life cycle management of a wide variety of products. The life cycle ranges from New Product Introductions to improvements and phase outs and thereby managing the interests of several internal stakeholders.

The Dutch Government has decided on the introduction of a deposit refund for beverages sold in cans, and thereby possibly bombarding supermarkets as the recycling centers of the future. In order to investigate different possibilities of this recycling, I applied a two-phase solving approach. The first phase consisted of a mathematical model programmed in Python using Gurobi to solve the amount of technologies to install at every (possible) recycling location. The second phase consisted of a Simulated Annealing with Variable Neighborhoods (again programmed in Python) in order to solve the facility location problem of which recycling location to assign to which distribution center, while taking capacity constraints of both recycling locations and distribution centres into account. After solving this problem, I tested several scenarios for the robustness of the fixed design using a Monte Carlo Simulation, programmed in Python. The approach and outcome of this Thesis showed great potential for the waste management of the future and was therefore awarded with an 8.

Als vulploegleider ben ik momenteel (21 uur/week) verantwoordelijk voor diverse taken. Het aansturen en coachen van een grote groep medewerkers, klantencontact en het beheren van diverse processen binnen het filiaal. Enkele taken zijn het toezien op het beheer van de voorraad en waar nodig anticiperen op fouten, maar ook controleprocessen op de werkzaamheden.
