Together with local partners, contributing to securing land rights for communities, specifically for women.- Responsible for coordinating management of an EU project on sustainable community forestry management in Zambézia Province, Central Mozambique.- Campaign development in liaison with partners in Mozambique around land grabs and demanding accountability of government.- Coordinating a scoping study on possible modes of engagement with the private sector in Mozambique.

- SNV Netherlands Development Organisation, Mozambique; conducting a market survey regarding local capacity development services in the agricultural sector.- MedicusMundi, Mozambique; Analysis of risk factors related to maternal mortality in two Northern districts (proposal development, awarded - conducted by Dr M. Urso).- Médicos com África, Mozambique; developed proposal “Apoio ao TB-DOTS comunitário nos distritos de Moma, Angoche e Mogovolas” which was financed by Family Health International.- Médicos com África, Mozambique; final external evaluation of the project “Da Gravidez à Infância; uma resposta de saúde integrada, nos distritos de Moma e Mogovolas” financed by UNICEF.- Young Africa, Mozambique & Zimbabwe; organisational scan of YA’s Non-formal Educational projects in Zimbabwe and review of the organisational set-up at global level towards the planned expansion of outreach and a stronger orientation on realising impact. Support to the organisation in exploring funding possibilities and strategising for resource mobilisation (voluntary).- Health Alliance International, Mozambique; develop Terms of Reference for an institutional scan and positioning exercise concerning existing health services as district level in Central Mozambique and aligning HAI’s interventions towards improving Primary Health Care.- Médicos com África, Mozambique ; design communication material to promote balanced nutrition of malnourished children. Evaluate scope for submitting a funding proposal on Maternal Health to access grants from the European Union.- Universidade Católica de Moçambique, Beira; contributed to the external evaluation of the Green Medicine-project funded by the Kellogg Foundation.

- Developed proposals for resource mobilisation to UNICEF and other donors, which have since resulted in funding for SNV’s advisory services.- Responsible for mainstreaming HIV/AIDS responsiveness into our advisory practice.- Established client portfolios, partnerships and capacity building plans in the three strategic sectors (i.e., Water, Sanitation and Hygiene; implementing the ‘Iniciativa Água para Um Milhão’ with the National Water Directorate, UNICEF, the Netherlands Embassy and three Provincial departments including scope for funding of our advisory practice; Banana Value Chain Development with several local and international partners including the private sector. Successful resource mobilisation for our clients; Pro-poor Tourism Development in partnership with Gorongosa National Park).- Built a team of advisors; including function development, recruitments, and performance management towards quality enhancement of advisory practice and a strong impact orientation.- Member of Strategic Country Management team responsible for the WaSH sector, budget management and progress monitoring.

- Developed advisory strategies with clients, partners and the advisors in the areas of Education, Local governance, Private sector development, and Institutional Responsiveness to HIV/Aids plus mainstreaming of gender. - Established and provided leadership to a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team of advisors (eleven advisors and four support staff) and expanded its client base based on a joint analysis of the local development context in Western Zambia.- Took the lead in establishing a cross-portfolio approach among the four teams in Zambia as the highest level of management in the country combining managerial and technical leadership in a matrix structure.- Providing capacity development support to local organisations from both civil society, private sector and local government aimed at improving access to basic services (e.g., education) and local economic development (e.g., cashew value chain development).

Operating in all districts in Northwestern province, Zambia.- Team leader District Capacity Building Support programme; in partnership with Zambia Social Investment Fund (based on a successful proposal by our team and funded by the World Bank).- Improved functioning of District development coordinating committees and their sub-committees; training, advising and backstopping Local District Councillors and Management.- Responsible for mainstreaming HIV/AIDS responsiveness into our advisory practice.

Arua Capacity Building Project- Establishment of a bottom-up planning process in the district as part of decentralisation policy in a pilot programme supported by UNCDF.- Conducted capacity needs assessments and developed subsequent training programmes for staff and management of the local authorities.

Developed a network of databases linking the company's operational and managerial data to adequately respond to an increasing market share and boost efficiency.

Analysed the working procedures within the department, and formulated solutions to existing bottlenecks as part of a broader reorganisation effort
