The Netherlands Water Partnership (NWP) unites Dutch water expertise of private companies, government, knowledge institutes and NGOs. NWP analyses and shapes water policy and explores market opportunities worldwide. Within the NWP I was responsible for the implementation of programmes and projects on a strategic and practical level. I managed multiple projects under theGlobal Water Program for Egypt, platform Geo-Information for Water and Climate and the Strategic Export & Promotion team of the Dutch Water Sector (Topsector Water).

A research project on the ‘Biobased Economy in China’. This joint project by the Dutch Consulate General in Shanghai and the Rathenau Institute focused on the potential use of biomass for sustainable development in China. During this project I lived and worked in Shanghai for four months.

Ulaanbaatar

As part of the Vitens Evides International outreach program I investigated the possibilities for privatisation and institutional reform of the water and sanitation sector in Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia). To assess these possibilities I worked for two months at the water company (USUG) in Ulaanbaatar.

Fulltime management function in a student board. Responsible for long term strategy, coordination of board tasks, chairing the general members meetings and maintaining contact with external organisations. During this period I participated in several teamwork and communication courses.
