The National Company for Fisheries and Aquaculture of the Armed Forces, in cooperation with the Suez Canal Authority, set up the giant project; Which contributes to adding another value to the development of the Suez Canal area and the Sinai Peninsula by establishing new industrial and urban communities there.The project will be built on an area of approximately 26,000 feddans facing 17.5 km along the Mediterranean coast and a depth of 10 km east of Port Said. It includes a new lake to the interior lakes, which are the turquoise fishing lakes, with an area of 9762 feddans.In addition, the project includes fishing basins called turquoise basins, as well as the Al-Diba area and a marine fishing fleet operating inside and outside the territorial waters. The number of fish farming basins is 5908 and the size of the basin reaches 1.75 acres with a total area of 15,586,000 acres. 120 meters by 80 meters wide and can accommodate 6 fishing vessels of up to 30 meters in length.Because of the largest turquoise project in the Middle East; Modern techniques have been added to fish farming in Egypt for the first time, including fish cage farming and raising the level of fish manufacturing in all fields, with the aim of increasing the per capita share of fish and trying to bridge the food gap and reduce imports.• Fish feed and water source:Through manufactured commercial feeds with high-quality nutritional specifications; Farmed fish are fed, as these feeds contain a crude protein content of not less than 42% and a crude fat of not less than 10%.In addition, the growth of the farmed fish is monitored by taking a sample from the aquarium every two weeks, weighing it and calculating the average weight of one fish and it is recorded in the record for following up the weights of fish for each tank. The sample is taken from more than one place in the aquarium, and the amount of feed needed to feed the fish in the aquarium is calculated on the basis of new weight.
