About Bashar Eltalhi

I'm a proactive, positive person who strives to gain skills and experience that can be used individually and within a team. I have, both academically and through practical means learnt a variety of skills ranging from professional presentation to technical computing and public information.March- August 2011, I volunteered for the Libyan National Army under the command of the Abuhdma Martyrs Brigade. In this role, I participated with the technical team which established the Operations Room to monitor all data received and sent by the brigades. The main objective of the Team was to ensure that all Data was encrypted. Furthermore we closely followed theopponent's geographical locations and informed our international partners of their positions (man-portable defense sites). We drafted daily reports providing the National Transitional Council (NTC) with frontline updates, NATO strikes statistics and itsimpact upon the Brigades and printed warning pamphlets issued by NATO.In support of Libya, UNSMIL's mandate and the Mission's overall concept of operations, the SSACD's central objective is tosupport Libya's efforts to develop an effective and accountable security sector which respects human rights, upholds the ruleof law and has the confidence of the Libyan people.Based upon my experience during the Revolution in 2011 and since As with UNSMIL, I believe that I have the requisite skills,experience, approach and networks required to perform welland to add value to the SSACD's team.In addition to my professional experience, I have the relevant personal and inter-personal skills required to effectively carryout these functions.
