The Internship I had with LERC was a great chance for learning and self-development. LERC is very well known in Beirut and is the first center in Lebanon that is completely devoted to the study of migration. LERC’s main focus is to constantly produce valuable reports and reference works regarding migration and emigrants. LERC also focuses on addressing the Issue of Lebanese emigration in its worldwide situation. They look forward to helping the widespread diaspora to understand their origins and cultural positioning. LERC is a member of the International Network of Migration Institutions (INMI), which is part of the UNESCO. In my case, for my Internship, I had the chance to work within their comprehensive archive and library that is available and includes all subjects related to the Lebanese emigration. I was glad to be working on the memorabilia related to the Lebanese emigration; looking into Lebanese emigrants with different achievements, values and parts of the globe. During my research hours, their Input in this world helped me to see different values and varieties of disciplines, Including history, International affairs, diplomacy, economics, sociology, political science, social media, art and literature. I’m honored to have had such an experience where I was able to be Integrating well-structured values, developing my work potential, and having a close Input into what could be my field of work.
