My work experience is about 37 years out of which, I had been with the Bangladesh Government for long time as a senior official of Local Government Engineering Department, responsible for rural development mainly. My expertise is basically Project Management and worked as the Project Director for different projects financed by Government and development partners like ADB & JICA. CTEIP is one of them where urban management and climate change issues were the main oriented areas. I have special skills and interest in QA/QC and laboratory related matters. I worked for about 13 years as head of QC unit and in-charge of central laboratory while I was working for the Government and my responsibility was to monitor the activities of subordinate laboratories and Quality management of the construction work executed by the department. I was involved in some research works on pavement construction using local material in association with JICA experts. Road construction is another area where I have major skill and interest. For last few years I have worked with Euroconsult Mott MacDonald and IC Net Ltd (Japan). Presently I am working with IMC Worldwide (UK), an international consultancy firm as the Engineering Manager of a project that deals with building disaster resilient and energy efficient schools cum cyclone shelters in the southern belt of Bangladesh.
