Project Manager - Maastricht University Corporate Website (A.I.)Finalist Sep 2014 - Jul 2018Utrecht / MaastrichtUniversity Maastricht wanted a visitor centric website that integrated content from many parts of the organisation. Students, employees and external users needed to find relevant information more easily in their own language, scaled to their devices. It was my role to direct this complex IT project, using Agile methodologies such as Scrum.The result is that all information on 80 curricula with 2400 courses, >5k employees and research is available through a logical menu and excellent search engine. The old site with over 55.000 pages has been replaced by a customer friendly site of 4.000 pages. The project is based on Drupal CMS and a wide array of information has been made accessible to the users by connecting many systems, such as SAP, Hodex, Tripolis, UMAPI, Personal Profile Pages (PPP), Pure en SSO ADFS. To make the corporate website and related website and newsletters searchable SOLR and Nutch were used. The website won the Spash Award for best educational site in 2017 -
Project Manager - Maastricht University Social Intranet (A.I.)Finalist Jan 2016 - Jan 2017Utrecht / MaastrichtMaastricht University wanted an intranet site for each faculty, where users could collaborate in workgroups. It was my role to manage the development of a tool that makes this possible.In result we created a Social Intranet site for 22k users, where content is shown on basis of groups (for example faculties or workgroups) and roles (for example, student, employee, external employees). In these groups articles, news, events, blogs, documents and a knowledge base are shared. The intranet site is available for students, employees and employees of the Maastricht UMC+. The intranet can be accessed via single signon (ADFS) of Maastricht University and Maastricht UMC+ and the profiles of all employees are provided by the webservice of the Maastricht University Personal Profile Pages.

Maastricht University also wished to ensure the quality and continuity of the maintenance of the websites of the research institutes. It was my role to lead the development team towards a Multisites solution, in a complex organisational field.In result we created a multisite solution. A multisite CMS with a toolbox of functionalities such as cross site content sharing possibilities for news, events and blogs. Content could be shared between multisites and the Maastricht University corporate site. Also research profiles from Maastricht University Personal Profile Pages and publications from Pure could be incorporated. Authorisation of editors can be managed centrally by Maastricht University via ADFS.

It was my role to lead a multidisciplinary team into realising a user friendly IT-solution. I was also involved in mapping the wishes of Maastricht University, budgeting and reporting.The result is that a Personal Profile Pages tool was made for >5k employees and researchers of Maastricht University in multiple languages. Here, they can keep their personal profile up to date, including contact information, career history, research profile and publications. The Personal Profile Pages are a source for the website, intranet and multisites. The employee and researcher can decide which parts of their profile are shown in other systems.The solution was created in Drupal, Single Signon iAuthentication happens through adfs. Information is retrieved from Pure (publications) and sap (HR, contract information), UMAPI (Enterprise Service Bus of Maastricht University).
