The position manages partner relationships and coordinate the activities of Organizational Development Specialists in 5 project states (Kaduna, Bauchi, Kano, Plateau and Sokoto).The key activities include strengthening the capacity of State & Local Governments (LGAs), CSOs and communities, to increase access of vulnerable children and their families to comprehensive quality services and utilization in a sustainable manner. This is to be achieved through the provision of focused, high quality institutional and technical capacity building assistance to Government and civil society partners. The position also support the strengthening of community-level services, capacity building, and coordination between State, LGA and community levels towards qualitative, sustainable service delivery for vulnerable children and families.

Bauchi, Nigeria

Managed a team of technical and support staff to implement a 5-year USAID OVC project in Bauchi state, Nigeria. Responsible for direct management responsibility for all project activities in the state. This included supervising the state team members, managing overall partner relationships, responsibility for all documentation and reporting; and managing all financial activities at the state level.

Implemented the Child Protection program of SCUK in Kano. The main focus of the program was advocacy, community mobilization and capacity building for communities groups, civil society organizations and government partners toward the development of policies and enabling environment, strengthening coordination and partnerships and, building community structures aimed at protecting the most vulnerable children.
