Current-Prepared proposals and bidding documents for commercial and residential structural projects by coordinating with architects, general contractors, developers, and homeowners.-Designed and managed preparation of construction documents/permit sets for addition, expansion, removal of load bearing wall, and retaining wall projects for various existing single-family homes. -Coordinated with architects and building owners through different phases of project development. -Addressed plan reviewer comments on structural permit plans under my stamp with different counties in Virginia, Maryland and Washington, DC.-Analyzed and designed wood, steel, concrete, and masonry structures for both commercial and residential projects using hand-calcs, spreadsheets, ENERCALC, Risa and other softwares.-Developed Revit 3D models for single-family residences indicating existing conditions, demolitions and new construction for various addition and remodeling projects.-Addressed potential conflicts between structural framing and architectural elements by linking architectural models to the structural models. -Performed hundreds of site visits at residential and commercial project sites to evaluate the existing conditions, take field measurements and determine the existing structural framing relevant to the project scope of work. -Performed seismic analysis and prepared structural calculations for replacement of existing large size steel windows in buildings of the US Naval Academy - Annapolis, MD. -Prepared several in-depth structural evaluation reports based on site visit field observations in order to identify potential structural deficiencies in old commercial and residential buildings that clients considered for upgrade or change of occupancy. -Performed business development activities such as establishing professional relationships with developers, general contractors, architects, and owners to identify and acquire new projects.
