Passionate Associate Professor and Researcher in Pharmacology with extensive experience in academia and research endeavors. With a strong sixteen-year history in teaching, conducting research, and assuming leadership positions within pharmacology field, I am committed to motivating and instructing future pharmacists and healthcare professionals while innovating within our field's research boundaries.I embarked on my academic career at the Department of Pharmacology, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Khartoum, where I started as a teaching assistant after graduating as the top student in my class in 2006. Recognized for excellence, I progressively moved up the ranks and achieved the position of associate professor of pharmacology in August 2020.Holding a PhD in Pharmacology, an MSc in Molecular Medicine, and a Master's in Medical Education, I bring a strong academic foundation to my research endeavors. I am committed to delivering high-quality courses, mentoring students, and contributing to the advancement of Pharmacology education. Actively engaging in teaching and curriculum development, I aim to instill a passion for pharmacological sciences in budding researchers.Specializing in pharmacology with a focus on driving breakthroughs in drug discovery, development, and clinical pharmacology. I have led impactful projects bridging bench science with clinical applications, particularly in elucidating the mechanisms of action of novel therapeutics. My doctoral research focused on screening natural compounds for anticancer activities, a field I continue to explore passionately.I have contributed to high-impact publications in peer-reviewed journals (more than 85 publications) across experimental and clinical pharmacology, addressing unmet medical needs.
