Mr. Bashir Guliyev is the founder and CEO of BUTA Group of companies since 1999. Buta Group is a Holding Company with HQ in Baku, Azerbaijan and has its subsidiaries in Russia, Iran and Turkey. Mr. Guliyev has more than 18 years of experience in development of different projects in private sector including, but not limited to industries, such as agriculture, construction, food processing and trading.One of the main and most successful businesses of Buta Group, is Buta Agro, which proved itself as a leader in production and export of agricultural products made in Azerbaijan.In addition, Mr. Guliyev also serves as a Chairman of the Board of Azerbaijan Association of Fruit and Vegetable Growers and Exporters (AMTA), one of the largest non-government and non-commercial organizations, with main mission to serve the interests of independent producers and exporters and development of different agricultural projects to serve that purpose.He earned the highest Award “Taraggi” (“Progress) from the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, for his contribution in the development of the private business sector in the country.Mr Guliyev has an Honors Bachelor degree from Azerbaijan State Medical University and MBA from Azerbaijan State University of Economics.Mr. Guliyev is married and has three children.
