Hello, my name is Bashir Khalil an undergraduate studying Biomedical engineering at Boston University. I am on a pre-med pathway and am interested in bioinformatics, tissue, neural, and genetic engineering. My main goals this year are to find an internship at a company that will allow me to pursue one of these potential career paths and contribute through meaningful work, continue to learn about BME concepts through my classes and side projects, and grow my leadership skills by engaging in the communities on campus around Boston and back home in Kansas City. I would also like to continue my work with the organizations I am a part of.I am the Vice-President, Director of Operations, and Co-founder of Elite Footballers Tournament (EFT). Soccer is a huge passion of mine, and making a positive change in the world through the game I love has been a blessing. As an organization, we have seen the issues with the pay-to-play system in the United States and are working to bridge this gap, providing players from all backgrounds with the support they need to progress in the game. We also promote the message of accepting people from all cultures and embracing our backgrounds by sharing stories of individuals within soccer who come from diverse walks of life, all connected through the world's game. We have held numerous soccer tournaments, bringing together hundreds of people and raising money to help the Kansas City community and beyond.Website: https://elitefootballerstournament.com/Instagram: elitefootballerstournamentYoutube: https://www.youtube.com/@elitefootballerstournamentI also work with the Global Foundation for Peace Through Soccer. A U.S.-Based 501C3 not-for-profit organization that is Designed to Help Underprivileged Children through Soccer. We do our best to make a change in the world by spreading peace and the game of soccer provides an outlet to accomplish that. Soccer is a true passion for the majority of the world’s population and tends to be used to create long-lasting friendships and bonds that transcend political, economic, social, racial, and religious boundaries.Website: http://globalsoccerpeace.org/Instagram: globalsoccerpeaceYoutube: https://www.youtube.com/@thesocceracademytelevision7839
