Manage all the work related to drilling and blasting in Grasberg Mine regarding man power management, prioritize drill area, equipment movement, drill and blast concern in the field, drill holes quality and explosive design for specific area, in order to achieve production targets comply with company’s safety, environmental, strategic, objective, and cost control goals.Implementation of the Aquila High Tech Drilling System required a transition from survey drill support to computer based functions including data file conversion, data transfer, drill accuracy, drill production reconciliation, Aquila cut design planning, and development of automated reporting utilizing database applications. Employed accurate and reliable production data for the Blasting Fragmentation Improvement Project utilizing the Aquila communication with Cisco Mesh over 900MHz radios. Improved bench grade, blast hole accuracy, and fragmentation size.Increased depth of the Grasberg Mine diminished GPS satellite reception and required a new system be tested. The Novariant Terralite XPS® system was chosen. Assisted in testing, installation, programming, and implementation of the Novariant System within the Grasberg operation. The system is the guidance backbone for all of the drills.Assisted in the installation of the first 2 Ardvarc® Drill Management Systems at Grasberg. Currently working with the D&B Engineering team and assisting with system training, implementation, data recording and reporting, and system improvements.
