Being a chartered management accountant, my job is to assess business cycle and design customised accounting procedures and management reports to monitor and control company's financial matters in the most efficient way.I have been working with various clients from different industries. Being a chartered management accountant i understand businesses operational side too along with the associated opportunities and risks.Core duties:Client onboarding and Setup- Initial meeting to understand their needs, challenges, and expectations.- Understand and analyse requirements then propose the process/system to the client in the easiest way possible that often includes latest accounting tools.- Implementation of the agreed processes and systemsReporting- Discuss the reporting requirements with the management, their financial and non-financial KPIs, review and discuss their existing reports.- Analyse the acquired information, find the gaps/improvement room, simplify and propose a better new report structure.- Prepare/review monthly management report and present it to the management, discuss variances, and suggest action points. Operations- I lead a team of 6 staff members and the team is fully responsible to keep client accounting records up to date. Team’s responsibilities include • Accounting system setup and integrations• Bookkeeping• Bank and cash reconciliations• Purchase and sales ledger reconciliations• Journal entries to recognise cost and revenue appropriately (accrual & prepayments)• Vat return preparation and submission• Payroll processing and RTI submission• CIS returns processing and submission• Management accounts preparation• Annual accounts and tax returns preparation• CT61 preparation and submission• EIS returns• EMI Scheme setups
