Category Manager Responsibilities:• Research and analysis of global and local fashion trends in order to be able to predict customer preferences for next season and their implementation in accessories;• Researching fashion market and analyzing it;• Designing/ Market research of relevant accessories; • Creating collection compatible with fashion trends and company’s budget;• Communicating and cooperating with other departments in managing the line; whole collection;• Weekly/ Monthly analysis of competition;• Generating date bases; • Managing assortment;• Analyzing, comparing and negotiating terms of cooperation as well as prices;• Monitoring and supervising buying and merchandising procedure/ buyers; Managing the product ordering process;• Supervising and controlling quality of the goods / samples;• Leading buying policy for chosen collection in other to obtain merchant through sustaining high quality, competitive prices, fashionably of the accessories, as well timeliness and elasticity of them;• Weekly analysis of sales to determine best sales/ repetitive orders the most valuable for customers; at the same time rapid identification of poor selling items and recognizing the reason;• Searching for new suppliers;• Enhancing good relationship with suppliers;• Cooperating with marketing and visual merchandiser in other to be in touch with clients. Creating and proposing accessories displays, sales, etc.;• Liaison with Marketing Department in the provision of samples for PR/Advertising;• Collaborating with Logistics Department to guarantee all required Customs documentation is provided, plus controlling deliveries • Liaison with Financial Department to ensure all essential documents and payment terms were met;• Controlling warehouse state to enhance liquidity in deliveries; • Attending European and Overseas Fashion shows/ fairs;

Purchasing Specialist/ Senior Buyer Responsibilities:• Analysing consumer buying patterns and predicting future trends;• Regularly reviewing performance indicators, e.g. sales and discount levels;• Managing plans for stock levels;• Reacting to changes in demand;• Reacting to changes in logistics;• Meeting suppliers and negotiating terms of contract;• Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers and sourcing new suppliers for future products;• Liaising with other departments within the organisation to ensure projects are completed;• Attending trade fairs, in the UK and overseas, to select and assemble a new collection of products;• Participating in promotional activities;• Writing reports and forecasting sales levels;• Presenting new ranges to senior retail managers;• Liaising with shop personnel to ensure product/collection supply meets demand;• Seeking merchandise feedback from customers;• Training and mentoring junior staff.
