It also handled the asynchronous asset loading and dealt with any part conflicts.Def Jam Fight for New YorkAs a front-end lead I was responsible for mentoring four junior engineers that were fresh out of school and getting them ready to help firefight a late project. I worked with the designers to ensure that design changes would not negatively impact the schedule. I was responsible for implementing the save game functionality for all three platforms.SSX 3As a front-end lead I took the initiative to develop a user interface authoring tool so that artists can quickly add and edit in-game screens. The tool’s interface looked very much like Macromedia Flash but provided elements that were more suitable for games. This data driven approach greatly improved iteration times as screens were being developed.SSX TrickyI took the initiative to lead the front-end area of the game since it was in a poor state. I was responsible for architecting the system from the ground up and led a small team of engineers to implement it. In the end we created a seamless 3D front-end with animated cameras, lights, and particle effects support.SSXI was responsible for developing the game’s world pipeline. I used MaxScript to create the terrain patches and wrote a 3DStudio plug-in to export the data for further processing.I was responsible for maintaining the character model and animation pipeline tools. I took ownership of the build system and improved the processing time by adding better dependency checking using Perl. I improved the animation system by adding support for animation compression, runtime pose mirroring, and facial animation.
