im 20 years old. And if theres one thing i learned besides my laziness i have for correcting my grammar is that no one is going to hand you anything on a silver platter. you want something, go get it. i wasn't fortunate enough to finish high school like the rest of my peers. i did however learn a whole lot during the time i was out of school. dropped out at 17 and the only thing i regret is not having done it sooner. started working for quill office supplies, doing business to business sale, it was my first sight of the real world. having to be rejected by about 80 doors a day was only the beginning to my new personality and view of life. eventually i had enough of getting paid on commission, and found a more reliable job with consistent pay at mini market. having to make money not just for myself but for my family was, and still is till today the biggest challenge i have had to face, 4 sisters and my parents. willing to do anything. just a quick side note my dad had a few businesses in the past but unfortunately failed and sold them. his last business which was a small smoke shop he closed was my signal of dropping out. no one was putting a gun to my head and i have the nicest and most caring parents but i had to take responsibility. working in the mini mart was a challenge at first, having to scrape as many hours as possible and do whatever task from cooking, serving, cutting meat, working the register mopping, stocking coolers and shelves. slowly after countless burns, cuts being threatened by customers. i developed to having a great work ethic, maturity, focus on whats important. after working their for a whole year averaging 80 hours per week, i was promoted to becoming the stores manager. i was finally able to make not just enough for my family, but for myself. i was stacking
