My responsibilities include preparation of engineering design deliverables for the successful implementation of the DOMGAS project for Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) Limited.

Preparing the required deliverables for the commissioning of the TOTAL'S IPP 6MMSCFD Class 600 Pressure Reducing and Metering Station for SHELL Nigeria Gas Limited, Port Harcourt, Nigeria.Just completed a proposal to Shell Petroleum Development Company Limited, Warri on the design and implementation of the Sales Gas Metering System for Kokori, Oweh and Uzere NGC Gas Compressor Stations being rehabilitated by Hally Brown Engineering Company, Nigeria.

This NGC Land Phase-1 Stations Metering Facilities Upgrade comprises the implementation of the Fiscal Gas Measurements for 5 NGC Gas Compressor Stations. The Gas Metering System was designed in accordance with ISO 5167. I was responsible for the project management and also worked as the Project Engineer. I supervised the detailed engineering designs for the metering systems which involved the preparation of P&ID, Piping General Arrangement Drawings, Piping Isometric Drawings, Tie-in Drawings, Cable Schedules, Instrument Data Sheets, Instrument Installation Details, Instrument Schedules, Metering Philosophy and Instrument Loop Drawings. I was also responsible for the production of the Metering MTO, Project Execution Plan, Work Method Statements, Inspection and Test Plans, Construction Checklists and Flow Computer Configuration.

I was the Managing Director at SysVIEW Controls Limited. SysVIEW Controls Ltd was formed in 1998 to provide instrumentation and controls services to the oil and gas industry in Nigeria but it became operative in 2002 after the successful execution of the “Construction of Gas Stations for Agbara / Ota Pipeline Project for Shell Nigeria Gas Ltd., Nigeria. My duties include the coordination of the activities of several discipline engineers (process, civil, mechanical, E&I) in the execution of the various contracts. I worked closely with the Construction Planning Manager to supervise the performance of the project team. I was responsible for the development of work procedures and client reports, checking and reviewing engineering designs and calculations, generating project documents and creating formats to be used for each project. I was also responsible for the Project cost control and preparation of schedules as required by in the respective contracts.

The Bonny Terminal Emulsion Treatment Plant comprises 2 Sludge Heaters, Air Compressor, Sludge Pumps, Sludge Filters, 2 Air Blowers, Fuel Gas Scrubber, 2 Oil Water Separators and Recovered Oil Filters and Flow Meters. I supervised the detailed engineering designs for the rehabilitation of the plant which involved the production of the Overall Plot Plan, Control Room Layout, Instrument Location layout, Cable Routing Layout, P&IDs, Data Sheets, Specifications for the Burner Management System (BMS), Instrument Hook-up Drawings, Loop Diagrams for the BMS PLC and Loop Diagrams for the Delta-V System. I was responsible for the preparation of the construction documents including the work method statement, instrument construction checklists, inspection and test plans, and procedures for replacement of the obsolete electro pneumatic control system with the new Delta-V System and the PLCs. I was responsible for the preparation of the requirements for FAT and SAT for the PLCs, Delta-V Control Panel and the FF field instruments.

Installation and Commissioning works for the construction of the South Bank Flow Station was awarded to SysVIEW Controls Engineer and I assumed the role of Instrumentation and Controls Manager and a member of the Project Management Team for the project. My duties comprises the preparation of Work Schedules for Instrumentation and Control system to match the entire project work schedule, allocating resources for the completion of I&C works, preparation of check procedures and check list for I&C works and generating weekly progress reports for the client. I was also responsible for the supervision and coordination of the I&C team for the installation works, preparation of all construction and commissioning phase documentations which includes Concurrent and Simultaneous Operations Procedures, Testing Procedures, Work Method Statements, commissioning procedures, commissioning plan and Operation and Maintenance Manuals. I supervised the production of the As-built drawings through markups made during construction and commissioning phases.

The Kiln 1 Gas Firing System Upgrade was necessary following the replacement of the wet kilns in West African Portland Cement Company at Sagamu, Nigeria. SysVIEW was awarded the contract to rehabilitate the Gas Train for the Kiln Firing System. My duties include project management and supervision of the engineering design works for the upgrade. I was responsible for sizing the Control Valves and the Turbine Meters for the Upgrade. I supervised the site installation works which includes the demolition of the obsolete system, tie-in to existing piping structure and installation of the new gas train. I was responsible for producing the operation and maintenance manual for the system.

SysVIEW was awarded the contract for the Electrical and Instrumentation Installation Works at the City Gate Gas Station which involves installation of Cables, Generator Sets, Lighting poles, Gas equipment skids, Low voltage switchgear panel, etc. I was responsible for the preparation of the Work Schedule, construction documents including Check Procedures, Commissioning procedures, testing procedures, operating and maintenance manuals and, commissioning plan. I was also responsible for the production of the As-built documents.

The Kiln 2 Gas Firing System Upgrade was necessary following the replacement of the wet kilns in West African Portland Cement Company at Sagamu, Nigeria. SysVIEW was awarded the contract for the Conceptual Engineering Designs for the 40MMSCFD Gas Station which involves the integration of Filtration Systems, Pre-heating Systems, Metering Systems, Boilers and Condensate Accumulators. My duties involved the preparation of the Basis of Design, Operating Philosophy, P&IDs, and Statement of Requirements. I was also responsible for the preparation of the Call for Tender Documents issued to the Equipment Vendors.

SysVIEW was awareded the contract for the modification of the fuel gas pipeline to enable supply of gas to the new boilers at PZ factories Aba, Nigeria. I was responsible for preparing the tie-in drawings for the pipeline and piping isometrics for the new pipeline to supply the new Boilers. I supervised the fabrication of the new piping and the modification of the existing pipeline system. I was responsible for the preparation of the testing procedures and the concurrent operation plan for the works.

SysVIEW Controls was awarded the contract of installing 4 nos. LBV Actuators on the main 12” gas pipelines to / from SNG PRMS at Ota. The scope involved servicing the existing valves, removing the Hand Wheel Gear Box, installing the new Leeden Gas over Oil Actuators and modifying the bypass spool. My duties comprises project management, preparation of the Piping Tie-in Drawings for modification of the bypass spool, work procedures, test procedures and work method statement for the installation of the Actuators, check lists, installation schedules and progress reports. I was also responsible for supervising the site installation and commissioning works for the project.

This project was designed to inject odorant into the pipeline feeding natural gas to SNG customers in Aba, Nigeria. The Odomatic system comprises the Odomatic Vessel, control panel and injection system. My duties comprises project management, preparation of work procedures, test procedures and work method statement for the installation of the Odomatic system, check lists, installation schedules and progress reports. I was also responsible for supervising the site installation and commissioning works for the project.

The WABM CS was supplied by SNG for gas supplies to WABM. The CS was corroding at a very fast rate due to the sulphur emissions from the galvanizing processes adopted by WABM. The scope involves decommissioning the corroded CS, grit blasting it to specified cleanliness, applying prescribed coating, integrity tests, re-installation and commissioning. My duties comprises project management, preparation of work procedures, test procedures and work method statement for the rehabilitation works, check lists, installation schedules and progress reports. I was also responsible for supervising the rehabilitation, re-installation and commissioning works for the project.

This project involved the installation of 4 new independent macromats to enable selection of products for the production of different aerosols for S.C. Johnson plc. The scope entails the demolition of the obsolete system, equipment layout and installations, fabrication of stainless steel vessels, fabrication of platform for overhead installation of the product vessels, fabrication and installation of stainless steel piping networks. My duties comprises project management, preparation of work procedures, test procedures and work method statement for the fabrication and installation works, check lists, installation schedules and progress reports. I was also responsible for supervising the site installation and commissioning works for the project.

In Aba Phase 2 Gas Supply Project, SNG was to supply gas to via pipeline 5 customers in Aba Metropolis for various applications. The commissioning scope involves preparation of pre-commissioning procedures, commissioning plan and check procedures for the commissioning services. I was responsible for the project management activities as well as the lead engineer for the reliability tests.

This project involved the fabrication and installation of Vent Stacks for the 5 CSs meant for the Aba Phase 2 Gas Supply Project. The project also includes the installation of the Earthing and Lightning Protection System for the CS. My duties comprises project management, preparation of work procedures, test procedures and work method statement for the fabrication and installation works, check lists, installation schedules and progress reports. I was also responsible for supervising the site installation works.

This project involved the design and fabrication of the 4 (nos.) SS 304 AISL Perfume Vessels complete with accessories, site installation of Gas Extraction Systems and the site installation of the 3 (nos.) Eye-wash systems. My duties comprises project management, preparation of work procedures, test procedures and work method statement for the fabrication and installation works, check lists, installation schedules and progress reports. I was also responsible for supervising the site installation works.

This project involved the design and installation of the gas distribution piping network for Aluminum Rolling Mills. My duties comprise project management, co-ordination of the engineering designs involving the preparation of P&IDs, Piping Isometrics and MTOs.

The Tank Farm Upgrade involved the demolition of the obsolete gas distribution system to allow the installation of the new piping system designed to feed the new Aerosol Product Lines. My duties comprise project management services involving the preparation of work schedules and resource allocation. I was responsible for the preparation of work procedures, inspection test plan and work method statement.

My duties involved the development of the P&ID, Piping Isometrics, Piping General Arrangement Drawings, Data Sheets and MTOs. I was also responsible for the project management activities.

Collate Total OML100 Platforms as-built information for the preparation of CFT documentations for the EPC Contractor and specifying the modifications for implementing the upgrade from the existing DCS system to the ICSS as required by the current Total GS.

I was deployed to work with the SPS and UFR teams made up of Dover Engineering Limited, JP Kenny and MCS. The SPS Basic Engineering Design Studies are for Egina FPSO development in water depth of 1,500 to 1,750m, involving a tieback of 2 production loops, 6 subsea production manifolds (6 slots), 20 oil producing wells, 3 water injection lines and 20 water injection wells. My duties comprise the assessment of Pre-project Statement of Requirements and producing the SPS field layouts, Electrical Schematics, Hydraulic Schematics and Fiber Optic Schematics. I was responsible for the preparation of Project Particular Specifications and Data Sheets for the MPFM, IRCDs, Multi-Purpose Running Tools, Electrical and FO Flying Leads, Control Systems, Thermal Performance Requirements. I was also responsible for the preparation of the SPS Shutdown Logic Diagram, SPS Cause and Effects Matrix and List of Flying Leads, Calculation Notes for Choke Valves Sizing, Technical Notes for the selection of Hydraulic Fluids and IRCDs, Procedures for Subsea Equipment Preservation and Transportation.

I was employed as a Senior Instrumentation and Controls Engineer for the phase 1 of the detailed design of the Expansion of ELP System. Phase 1 includes the design of a 24” x 56km class 600 gas transmission pipeline from Escravos Node to Warri Gas Treatment Plant (WGTP), expansion and upgrade of the WGTP to 1,100 MMSCFD and, the 36” x 48km class 600 gas transmission pipeline from WGTP to Pigging Station 1 (PS1) at KP38 (Oben Node). My duties involved the production of the Specifications for the WGTP Control System, Metering System and Safeguarding System. I was also responsible for vetting the WGTP P&IDs, preparing the specification for the Gas Chromatography System, Instrument Loop Diagrams, Shutdown Logic Diagrams and the Cause and Effects Matrix.

This project involved the construction of a 40MMSCFD Custody Transfer Station (CTS) at Itoki, 40MMSCFD Pressure Reduction and Metering Stations (PRMS) at Ota, a Pig Receiver Station (PRS) at Agbara and, 22 (nos.) Customer Stations (CS) at various customer premises. My duties comprise the supervision of the instrumentation and controls scope of works including the testing and calibration of field instruments, cables routing and testing, field instrument installations, instrument primary, process and electrical hook-ups, installation of Monitoring Panel and Fire & Gas System Panel. I was responsible for the preparation of the construction documents including Work Method Statements, Work Procedures, Inspection and Test Plan, Installation Schedules and check Lists.

The Additional Fuel Gas Facilities Project involved the construction of 100MMSCFD NAG Plant at Oloma, routing of duplex steel pipeline from Oloma to SPDC Bonny Terminal and construction of 2 (nos.) Gas Plants at Bonny Terminal to feed the Solar Turbines. My duties comprise preparation of Pre-commissioning test procedures for the various systems that make up the Additional Gas Facilities Project. I was responsible for managing the Inspections Test Plan, scheduling and supervising tests to produce comprehensive Mechanical Completion Certificates for all systems.

This project was designed to supply natural gas to SPDC Club House and CNG Filling Station. The 4” pipeline conveys gas from the Metering Station at SPDC's Ogunu Main Office to the Club House and CNG Filling Station. My duties include the supervision of the installation of the Impressed Current Cathodic Protection System including the installation of the Anode Groundbed, Transformer Rectifier, Reference Electrodes, Surge Diverters, Bonding Boxes and Test Posts. I was also responsible for commissioning the Cathodic Protection system.

This project involved the construction of a 6” Tie-in Station form NGC facility at PS-5 to the Terminal Gas Station (TGS) Ekpan, then to NNPC and SPDC Housing Estates at Ekpan and Edjeba respectively. The TGS was made up of equipment such as filtration system comprising gas scrubber and strainer, boiler and heat exchanger system for gas preheating, pressure reduction system, gas metering system comprising dual chamber orifice meters, instrument gas reservoir and the odomatic system. My duties comprise supervision of electrical and instrumentation works including Cable routing, lighting pole installations, Control building wiring, earthing and lightning protection system, small power lighting works, generator sets installations, instrument calibrations, instrument installations, tubing works, control panel and switchgears installations, UPS and battery bank installations, implementation of the impressed current Cathodic Protection system and installation of the Dispersed Array System (DAS) lightning protection system. I supervised the pre-commissioning tests and was responsible for the plant start-up operations. I was detailed to train the NGC Operators that took over the plant operation and maintenance and was responsible for conducting the 72 days plant reliability tests.

I was employed for the implementation of the Emergency Production Loss Control Services for Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) Port Harcourt, Nigeria, at 5 SPDC Flowstations in Nembe Creek area including. My duties include the supervision of the operations including but not limited to Flowstation start-up and shutdown, wellhead operations, vessels isolation and flare lighting, tests and data gathering checks and reports, instrumentation and control equipment monitoring and maintenance, pumps, engines and generators routine maintenance, HSE policy implementation.

I was deployed to be part of the Completion of 5 Injector Manifold at Mobil's EDOP Offshore Gas Injection Plant. My duties comprise supervision of instrumentation and control work including shutting down of the wellhead platform, de-commissioning and retrieval of existing instrumentation and control devices, modification of control panels, instrument calibration and configuration, instruments primary / pneumatic / electrical hook-up, loop checks, commissioning and start-up operations, and close-out report.

Chilix was into maintenance of estates and private infrastructures. My duties include but are not limited to preparation of technical and commercial tenders, bid analysis and evaluation, project cost analysis and estimation, project work plan preparation, proposals presentation and negotiation, contractors pre-qualification and pre-mobilization, pre-contract administration and business development/ service marketing. I was able to write a proposal on maintenance that earned my company some unprecedented returns.

I was posted to OMPADEC during my National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) scheme. I was drafted to the Port Harcourt Zonal Office for Project Inspection and Monitoring. I was responsible for the inspection and monitoring of Rural Electrification Projects, preparation of project inspection and audit reports and preparation of Project Interim Certificates of payment for contractors.
