Profile bio

About Basim Iqbal

Hi there:I'm Basim Iqbal, a graduate from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. I'm currently working as a Senior Associate at Technomics, Inc in Arlington, VA. The goal of my work is to improve my Navy program office clients’ understanding and handle of their programs and assets, from Cost Analysis and Earned Value Management perspectives. On a day-to-day basis I work with cost and schedule data, and present my analysis to my clients in order for them to measure past, current, and future metrics on their contracts. Previously, I was an engineer at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, where I helped to protect our Navy's sailors from surface and underwater enemy threats. I aspire to have a multidisciplinary career through the routes of engineering and business in order to generate services and products that are both beneficial to consumers, my community, and our planet’s environment. Though I have aspired to become an automotive engineer since a young age, through my experience and education I have come to learn that other industries such as those involving energy, processors, and materials have equally intriguing research, development, testing, and evaluation processes, and now strike my interest just as much. One of my greatest satisfactions is working with people and achieving a common goal all while building relationships.

Listed skills include Microsoft Excel, Public Speaking, Teamwork, Matlab, and 15 others.
