Senior Quality Assurance Manager

This role involves developing comprehensive QA strategies aligned with Agile, Waterfall, and CI/CD methodologies to support various software development cycles. By covering all phases, including unit, integration, system, and acceptance testing, QA Managers guarantee consistent quality.Leadership is essential, with responsibilities to train teams in black-box, white-box, and exploratory testing and guide advanced methodologies like risk-based testing, TDD, and BDD. Managers design and oversee both manual and automated test cases across platforms, utilizing frameworks such as Appium and Selenium for regression, performance, and load testing. Cross-functional collaboration is crucial, partnering with product and engineering teams to create comprehensive test plans and coordinate QA activities within each release cycle, covering functional, GUI, security, and usability testing. Managers implement defect management processes, performing root cause analysis and using smoke, sanity, and re-testing to confirm resolutions.Documenting procedures ensures knowledge sharing and consistency, using traceability matrices to align requirements with test cases. QA Managers also standardize processes through static testing and peer reviews. Continuous improvement initiatives are vital, integrating tools for automation, test data management, and performance monitoring, and incorporating exploratory and session-based testing.Effective stakeholder communication includes reporting on quality metrics, defect trends, and QA best practices to support data-driven decisions.
