FACULTY PROFILE :Mr.S.P.Baskar Dass , Graduate in Aeronautical Engineering with additional qualifications MA ( Administration ) and Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations. He is also a certified Aeronautical Inspector ( Aircraft Quality Control - specialized in Supersonic Aero Engines ) & Technical Trainer - both from Air Force Technical College, Bangalore. He was a successful ground tester of Supersonic Fighter Aircraft in IAF while giving "ground run " through observation and analytical ability. He was a lecturer in the field of Aeronautical Engineering for 3 and half years in Mechanical Institute, IAF before joining Lucas TVS . He has varied professional experience as Senior Management Executive of over 20 years while in Lucas TVS in teaching, specializing & practicing in the field of Maintenance, new systems of Manufacturing using 5'S', KANBAN, JIT & LEAN Manufacturing Techniques, and Problem Solving Process Tools. He is renowned faculty on Kanban, LEAN MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS ENGINEERING, Problem Solving Technique , Inventory Management ( Inventory Control), TPM. He was also a full time Industrial Training Consultant for an year period in Sundram Fasteners, Chennai where General Managers, Senior Managers & Executives were focused on " Lean concepts ", 5 'S'applications and Quality Control Technique and also in the field of maintenance & application of Jishu Hozen (Autonomous Maintenance & Kobetsu Kaizen (Individual Improvements )& Hinshitsu hozen (Quality Maintenance) & Fugai (Abnormalities). He is a certified Internal Auditor for QS9000 too. He is recipient of "Good Show "award in Flight Safety Journal published from IAF, New Delhi. He is one among the JUDGES in 'Quality Circle Contest' being conducted by MOTHERSON Group of Companies & QCFI (Quality Circle Forum of India, Chennai).
