    In 2012, inspired by the tragic news of Police Officer Brian Lorenzo’s being struck and killed by a drunk driver, I wanted to make a difference for the surviving family members of these most important heroes. In 2013, with David Cohen as our honoree we were able to raise $108,000! This year’s event, hosted by the #1 City Club in the country , the Union League of Philadelphia, outdid last year!! We are grateful to SO MANY supporters but most of all to our 2014 honoree Daniel J. Hilferty president and CEO of Independence Blue Cross and Blue Shield. A very special thanks to Jeff McFadden, the Union League’s General Manager.
