In 2012, inspired by the tragic news of Police Officer Brian Lorenzo’s being struck and killed by a drunk driver, I wanted to make a difference for the surviving family members of these most important heroes. In 2013, with David Cohen as our honoree we were able to raise $108,000! This year’s event, hosted by the #1 City Club in the country , the Union League of Philadelphia, outdid last year!! We are grateful to SO MANY supporters but most of all to our 2014 honoree Daniel J. Hilferty president and CEO of Independence Blue Cross and Blue Shield. A very special thanks to Jeff McFadden, the Union League’s General Manager.

Managed all day to day activities of this 4 million dollar prominent business club with a membership of 1100 atop the Mellon Bank Building in the heart of Philadelphia’s business and cultural hub. Supervised a staff of 35 that includes 6 department heads as direct reports. •Increased private event sales the first year by 100k, which included booking a DNC fundraiser featuring President Obama•Hired new executive chef, private events director, membership relations coordinator and service director resulting in a transformed and cohesive management team and significant morale improvement of all personnel.•Coordinated 250K renovation that included contractor, designer and vendor selection with all projects completed well within forecasted time frames and budgets.•Reduced F&B costs by well over 5%, while also reducing overall payroll expenses by 3%

RUNNING DEER GOLF CLUB, Pittsgrove, NJ 2008-2009General Manager/InterimRecruited by ex-NFL star Ron Jaworski as a consultant to manage and facilitate the transition out of bankruptcy of this semi-private club.• Significantly Improved customer and member relations and retention increasing membership by 25% in the first 6 months.• Directed operational procedure development and training, creating systems and standards for club functions.• Hired entire management and support staff including, Executive Chef, Director of Sales, Director of Golf, and Superintendent.• Oversaw and successfully managed building construction completion, all occasion packages, and planning of entire annual Event Calendar.

THE ACE CLUB 2006 - 2008 Clubhouse ManagerManaged staff of 35 and all Clubhouse activities and operations including Food and Beverage, Events, Halfway Houses, and Locker Room. Spearheaded Jim Furyk’s 2007 Exelon Invitational, which sold 9,200 tickets. Overseeing every aspect of the event and making substantial improvements from the previous year, fully restored client’s confidence and was subsequently contracted by Exelon for the 2008 invitational.• Contracted with Aramark and Coke to run golf course food and beverage, arranging temporary staffing with Aramark to assist in servicing 3000 clubhouse guests.• Markedly improved food quality and service by restructuring, replacing the dining room and beverage manager and hiring an accomplished Executive Chef, a Sous Chef and an Assistant Clubhouse Manager.• Retrained dining room personnel to properly service members and guests, resulting in consistent positive membership responses.• Revised operational procedures to properly track inventory and waste.

GLENHARDIE COUNTRY CLUB, Wayne, PA 2003 - 2006General ManagerUnder the supervision of the club’s board, managed total operations of this 450 member club consisting of a 9-hole Executive Course, clubhouse, pro-shop, swimming pool, full-service snack bar and tennis courts.

Oversaw three-site facility with simultaneous functions of up to 400 covers. Supervised five department managers and forty members of the support staff.

Supervised overall $3 million operation including two restaurants, bar, special events, menus, beverage costs, four managers and support staff of sixty.
