As Heritage Specialist at Dar, I apply my knowledge and skills in architectural conservation, heritage interpretation, and communication to preserve and enhance the cultural and historical value of urban environments. I have been working in this role for four months, after completing my master's degree in Architectural Conservation at the University of Edinburgh, where I received the prestigious Chevening scholarship for my previous work in Egypt.I have over eight years of experience in architecture and interior design, and three years of experience in heritage conservation and cultural advocacy. I have worked on various projects in Alexandria and Cairo, where I contributed to the documentation, assessment, and management of heritage sites and buildings, as well as the promotion of public awareness and engagement. I am also a LEED GA certified professional, with a keen interest in sustainable and inclusive design. My goal is to use my creative problem-solving abilities and passion for heritage to create meaningful and memorable spaces that reflect and respect the identity and diversity of communities.
