Need to structure that scientific project that four different people kind of worked on and seems finished but nobody knows? Let’s get the team going. Writer's block on that paper that has been at the top of your to-do list since last year? I’ll get the creative juices flowing.I have a strong background in antibody and protein engineering, DNA nanotechnology, and bioconjugation techniques. In my PhD I built DNA origami nanostructures to study proteins involved in programmed cell death, and in my postdoc I develop bioluminescent immunoassays and molecular sensors that can measure important markers involved in various diseases.Connecting proteins and DNA on the molecular scale is what I do on a daily basis, but I am glad to connect with you on the human scale and hear your ideas!

In a 5 month full-time research project I developed a multilayered mesofluidic (mm-scale) device from poly(methyl methacrylate) using laser micromachining as an in vitro model for the blood-brain barrier. In this device I was able to study the behavior and interaction of astrocytes and endothelial cells under physiological, hemodynamic conditions.

Visiting intern with prof. Craig J. Hawker at the Materials Research Laboratory. In a 2 month full-time research project I focused on synthetically tuning the electronic properties of pi-conjugated polymers using post-polymerization thiol-yne click chemistry. I investigated the effect of a library of thiols on the energy levels of poly(p-phenylene vinylene) using cyclic voltammetry and UV-Vis absorption and emission spectroscopies.
