Vice Chairman Of The Board Of TrusteesNasa Space Apps Cairo Jan 2024 - PresentCairo, EgyptSince joining NASA Space Apps Cairo in 2017, I have been deeply committed to contributing to one of the world’s most successful city hackathons. The annual NASA Space Apps Challenge, held in Cairo, has consistently ranked globally for its scale, with the largest number of registered applicants and on-site solutions. My journey began as a Public Relations and Materials volunteer, where I assisted in organizing the event logistics and coordinating resources. Through my dedication, I was soon entrusted with more responsibilities, becoming the Treasurer in 2018 and serving as the event host in front of over 1,000 participants. By 2019, I took on the role of Secretary to the Chairman, working closely with the leadership team.In 2020, I transitioned into a strategic role, joining the Competition Team to mentor participants and contribute to the event's core activities. My continued commitment led to my appointment as Chairman in 2021, where I had the honor of leading the local organizing team. Even after my term as Chairman, I remained engaged as Ex-Chairman in 2022, and in 2023, I was requested to return as Secretary. One of my proudest moments was serving as one of the two mentors who traveled to the United States with the winning teams, visiting NASA’s headquarters in Houston, Texas, and Washington, D.C., where we explored various NASA Space Centers. In 2024, I was privileged to be appointed as a member of the Board of Trustees, joining the founder, co-founders, and advisors of this prestigious event. I am grateful for the opportunity to continue contributing to this impactful initiative, which has nurtured innovation and collaboration across the globe.Volunteering at NASA Space Apps Cairo has been a transformative experience. It has deepened my appreciation for teamwork, innovation, and the power of community-driven initiatives. I am proud to have played a part the success of this incredible event, and I look forward to continuing to contribute to its mission. -
