Conflict Armament Research responds to growing worldwide demand for weapon-specific technical expertise to support research, analysis and policy making in conflicted areas. Under EU mandate, established first contact and meetings between CAR (Conflict Armament Research) project managers and Lebanese officials at the Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Defense. Responsible for weapon documentation, coordination, liaison, communication, providing military escort, clearance approval as well as maintaining rapport between the concerned parties. Interpreter during the training of the Lebanese Armed Forces and the Internal Security Forces in weapon and ammunition identification & tracing as well as counter improvised explosive devices.

Security clearance and background checks on asylum seekers in cooperation with the Canadian Border Services Agency. Completed data management for individual Syrian refugees seeking asylum in Canada and worked closely with the asylum applicants. Other tasks included office, processing biometric data, management liaison, interpretation and translation between Immigration Officers and refugees, updating Ready to Fly inventory, preparation of visa packages to the General Directorate of General Security and IOM, manifest preparation, departures inventory verification, security queries, registry management.

Worked as integral member on the Canadian Accelerated Resettlement Project to relocate Syrian refugees and their families from Lebanon to Canada. Coordinated the flow of refugees and their documents between the IOM and the Canadian’s embassy Biometric section, back office, Immigration officers and the Danish Refugee council’s form fillers. Responsible for synchronizing operations and communication between different divisions of the resettlement project and ensuring the proper process of the applications. Conducted sworn interpretation between Syrian refugees and immigration officers.

Supervise the day-to-day task assignments and performance, plan and prepare work schedules and coordinate daily assignments and activities, coordinate travel for guests, client liaison; supervising maintenance, supplies and renovations; planning and organizing accommodation, catering supervision, planning work schedules for individuals and teams, dealing with customer complaints and comments, addressing problems and troubleshooting. Ensure accurate stock levels by performing precise cycle counts and monitoring ordering of product and supplies. Led educational campaigns for local population and foreign guests regarding the importance of preserving natural reserves, was instrumental in organizing conferences for foreign visitors at the park. Oversaw safety of guests interacting with wildlife.

Computerized all client files to facilitate client care and follow-up. Maintained inventory. Contacted and liaised with wholesale merchandizers from Europe, the US and China. Established sales prices by monitoring local markets, designing and implementing a strategic sales plan that expands company’s customer base, Managing recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales representatives, Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs, Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.

Promoted events for top radio stations (MixFM, NRJ, Radio One). Supervised set-up crews for concerts featuring international talent. Promoted festivals (Zouk Festival, Beit el Dine Festival and Baalbek Festival) and nightlife events throughout greater Beirut.

Training and Management of over 200 local staff. Meetings & Events Manager overseeing over 100 weddings, with up to 500 guests; and over 100 events for clients such as international NGOs, the World Bank, Interpol, USAID, US Air force.
