Bassem is the Head of Internal Audit at the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Egypt, leading a team of more than 30 audit professionals. Bassem has more than 20 years of experience in the field of Internal Audit, Risk Management, Internal Control Framework and Corporate Governance. Bassem's international experience included working in the UK for more than 10 years as part of the Internal Audit and Risk Advisory team of Ernst and Young London office. Bassem has an extensive experience in the FMCG sector, especially consumer products and food manufacturing. As part of his experience with Ernst and Young he was part of Kraft Foods Corporate Internal Audit team leading audits across EMEA region. Bassem's sector risk experience expands over a range of other industries including automotive, oil and gas, mining, professional services and technology.In addition to working in the UK and across Europe, Bassem has also experience advising organisations from emerging markets. Bassem is also fluent in Arabic.
