As a site coordinator of Dreamline services through the Sanneh Foundation, I was placed at Hiawatha Collegiate High School and coordinated communication with school administrators, social workers, and support staff. I advocated for student needs to teachers and staff to ensure their success during the academic year and provided tutoring and grade reviews. I regularly checked in with a cohort of students to provide academic and emotional support by utilizing social emotional learning and encouraging introspection in students.

As a temporary executive assistant, I worked closely with the Executive Director of Community Action Partnership of Ramsey and Washington Counties to organize and schedule meetings, including meetings with community members, board members, and senior leadership. This strict adherence to deadlines is a skill which I will maintain through my future work. As a paraprofessional in the special education department, I am tasked with ensuring that the behavior intervention plans and individualized education plans for certain students in general education classrooms are carried out properly. I work one on one with some students to help them achieve academic success in their own way, and form bonds with them to help them communicate with the instructor. In addition, I aid the teacher in talking to those students, and help the flow of a general education classroom. I also work one on one with an epileptic student, and have training on how to keep them safe during a seizure.

As a department sub head, I work with a team of ten individuals at a 6,500-attendee event. I am part of the Guest Relations Department, with the job of preparing schedules before the event, and delegating tasks during it. I am in charge of ensuring my assigned Guest of Honor has all of the equipment they need and have an assistant throughout the three-day convention. This position requires that I have a good memory for schedules and for food and coffee orders. I have to be on my feet for most of the three days and prepared to help my department or the guests at all hours.In addition to work during the convention, I attend monthly planning meetings, and help arrange manage guest information and flight information. I assist in planning guest schedules, of flight arrivals, as well as appearances during the convention.

The shift lead must be the bridge between the manager's goals and tasks, and providing team member morale. As a shift lead, I delegate tasks to team members during a shift to ensure that the shift runs smoothly. I am in charge of ensuring that by the time the store closes, it is ready for the next day. I am the contact for when team members have questions, before going to the managers.
