I hold a Master's degree in Anthropology with first class honors, as well as a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology and Sociology, Cum Laude with a 3.7 GPA. I am curious about a great many things, and have interest in researching and learning even more. I have professional experience in administrative roles, educational roles, special needs care, and customer service. I am seeking a lifelong career that could increase my knowledge of any of these areas. Within my personal interests, I have been involved in volunteer management positions for nearly ten years, and have grown comfortable with delegation and communication through this. My current research interests look at the connection between artistic media and social change. My research focuses on online communities, such as unique social media platforms and small fan-based communities. I have conducted self-directed studies through my academic career of the online community of World of Warcraft, as well as the social media platform 'tumblr'. I have experience with program evaluation, and conducted an evaluation of Project Lighthouse, a program through the Geek Partnership Society which encourages students to become involved in STEM research. I have developed a method of finding accurate gender demographic information of study participants that is meant to reduce stress for gender minorities participating in an academic study.
