With over 15 years of experience in entrepreneurship and technology, I lead AgriApp Technologies as the Chairman and Chief Innovation Officer. AgriApp is a startup that provides solutions for precision agriculture, ecology, food, and agri-tech, with a human-centric and value-driven approach. I hold a PhD in Horticultural Sciences from Texas A&M University, where I learned from Dr. Norman Borlaug, the father of the Green Revolution.My passion for sustainable agriculture stems from my childhood in a rural village in India, where my parents were full-time farmers. I pursued agricultural science as an undergrad and then biotechnology as a master's degree, before moving to the US for my doctoral study. I founded my first startup, Criyagen, in 2007, at the campus of Texas A&M, and later joined Rico Winery as the Chairman of the Board. My mission is to leverage technology and entrepreneurship to solve the big problems in food, agriculture, ecology, and sustainability for the 10 billion people who will inhabit the planet by 2050.
