Housing consultant bridges the gap between healthcare and housingThe development of housing for healthcare requires more than meeting the standard requirements and restraints such as budget, schedule and quality. How can housing be really of added value for the primary process? This can be only realized with knowledge and experience on both healthcare and housing side.It is my passion the develop new solutions for healthcare. The solutions are based on user needs. The needs for efficient, flexible but also comfortable work- and care environments. Here not only the patient but also the staff receives full attention and acknowledgments.These solutions are partly found in the building (or as we in Dutch say ‘the stones’). Good analysis shows that often on both organizational and housing side minor changes allow for big improvements and benefits. These experiences convinced me that much can be gained within the healthcare system.The core in our activities is the principle of BD'2; Business Design followed by Building Design. Meaning we first shape services, workflows and logistics and then develop the appropriate building shape. The era of the seductive architectural design before the kick-off of an project is long gone.In this approach we prefer to work in early stages with all consultants. Let all involved play their role! We are convinced that successful project team consist of individuals with mutual chemistry rather than well-known company names with historical ego’s.Why work in and for healthcare?
