As Senior Consultant Safety, Health, Environment (SHE), I offer a wide range of management skills and experiences (listed below), but also a practical and result driven approach to SHE issues. I provide services to industrial and government organisations, focusing on interim management, advisory, auditting and coaching positions. In many cases, I report directly to the CEO or to the board member (director) responsible for SHE matters. ‘Change management by recognising people qualities.’ At the end of the day, only results count. Sharing knowledge and experiences of SHE related issues and topics, and connecting staff on all levels in order to share responsibilities, are two of the main attributes for achieving sustainable SHE results in any type of organisation. By creating in-depth awareness about the organisation’s safety culture at management level, organisations are able to improve SHE results, for instance by a reduced LTI (Lost Time Injury) level. ‘SHE awareness leads to improved overall business results.’In my projects I analyse organisational interdependencies, which may not be as visible from inside. From an external point of view and using my experience and independent approach I am fully qualified to recommend and implement changes in SHE policies and behaviour on all relevant levels. In my experience change starts by recognising qualities and intentions inside the organisation (people!) and using these qualities to improve both individual and organisational SHE performance.
