I worked as a software developer for AWS Snowball on the systems and OS team. AWS Snowball is a service to provide customers with edge devices capable of running services like S3 and EC2. We also provide importing and exporting between the devices and S3 in the AWS cloud. My team was responsible for Snow’s OS, kernel, and firmware. This included low level changes, builds, secure boot, iPXE images, and testing. We provided the platform for other teams to build other services on top of. We also developed workflows that manage and prepare our devices worldwide. My oncall responsibilities have included resolving customer issues, debugging workflow failures, addressing security findings, and root causing large scale issues.

During my time here I have created the front-end and back-end of our app and service, as well as worked on a team to develop the physical device that we sell. I have worked with technologies such as Django through Python and AWS EC2 to create a back-end system that can scale as efficiently as needed. I have also become very acquainted with Linux while programming our physical devices. For our mobile app, I developed our service with Unity and C# as well as deployed it to the App Store and Play Store.

Developed web applications to assist the customer support managers and technical engineers with their daily tasks. Created an app hosted on an internal server used by the engineers that extracts uploaded alert bundles and allows users to interact with its contents.
