I am an independent bookseller and my professional life is rooted in my personal history. I made a conscious decision to step away from a lucrative corporate job and take forward the legacy of my forefathers: the love for books, and creating spaces where they may be celebrated in their full glory. The first bookstore was opened in 1952 in Amritsar, and thereafter a branch in Jaipur in 1992. Thankfully, I also took to books and inherited not only the business but all the passion and love that comes with it. Having grown up in a bookstore, I have lovingly lived the conversations that remain unique to an independent bookstore.
