I was raised on the saying that "nothing stands in the way of will-power ” and that's how I'd like to introduce myself.My name is Batzi Tzur, I’m 37 years old, married and the mother of 6 wonderful children.I have a B.Sc in Biotechnology Engineering from the Ben Gurion University and a Directors' Training Certificate in Public Companies from the School of Management of the Open University in Tel Aviv. Although my formal education finished years ago, I will always consider myself a student. I expect of myself to continue to learn and study in parallel to my professional occupation.I worked in the Biotech field for a while, but I ended up pretty quickly in the world of management - starting by establishing and managing a food laboratory and later on managing an independent medical clinic.When I moved to the Shomron I discovered there were hardly any medical services in the area. Knowing that I had the experience and the passion to serve my community, I initiated and established an emergency medical center and later on continued opening more medical units in other towns in the area.If you ask me how I landed in the high-tech field, it actually was a coincidence. Five years ago after a casual meeting with the CEO of I-rox, I found myself managing it as the vice president of the company. I-rox is an amazing company that employs about 200 programmers and provieds services to big companies in the Israeli economy. In the past few years, I have been exposed to the fascinating world of high tech, startups, new products and a various range of clients. Living and breathing programmers all day has challenged me to dive into the world of code. Working with the company's products provided me with the impetus to create a product of my own, and driving for hours gave me extra time to think about different ideas. All together, this led to the creation of the iPray Audio app, the creation of a social Hebrew-Aramic dictionary app, and building a B2B platform for online glasses shopes.
