During the acquisition of John Deere Crop Insurance, sole developer of getting all ETL processes related to the government Risk Management Agency (RMA) transmissions up and running which included rewriting all the mainframe scheduling jobs into our JAMS scheduler, standing-up Informatica’s 680 data mappings and workflows as well as the corresponding UNIX jobs all within a regulated 6-month timeframe. Responsible for supporting the day to day mission critical ETL business operations specifically related to RMA transmissions which required being on-call and long hours. Back-up support for another 1400 ETL jobs related to actuarial processes (ADMS), nightly batch loads and the Data Mart. Currently using Rally in an agile environment. In 2017, sole ETL developer of moving all 680 ETL jobs out of Informatica and into Centerprise which included setting up a new data warehouse/lake. In 2018 continued with current support duties while doing Java support using IntelliJ, Hibernate and Spring as well as JSP, html, jQuery and JavaScript.

During the migration out of our legacy system, became a Business Intelligence ETL Developer on the Data Warehouse & Business Intelligence Reporting team. Participated in the selection, upgrades, and installations of technologies to support the growth and adoption of the EDW concept. Worked closely with the Data Architect to help define the data warehouse structure (Star Schema). Have extensive in-depth knowledge with the RMA related tasks associated with Crop Insurance including PASS, ITS, Funds, ROE, Fullbook, CIMS and PHTS. Designed a small MS Access application to handle all our Data Definitions for our project.

Sr. Application Developer | OperationsDeveloped an application for the Dell Axim Pocket PC’s using an UltraLite database, WSDD (Java AWT), Active Sync & Manage Anywhere tools. The application allowed North American inspectors to enter information directly into a PDA, instead of on clipboards and then download this information via Mobilink to our Oracle database. Co-lead a Crop Insurance conversion from PowerBuilder 8.0 to a web based Java application that was outsourced to India developers. Gathered all the necessary requirements from the users into UI Catalogs and then communicated this information to the developers in India on a daily basis. Designed and developed all 35 reports with Crystal Reports XI and used Visio to develop the screens for the documentation. Supported two Visual Basic 6.0 applications for the laboratories that kept track of DNA Plates and testing. Designed and maintained a Visual Interdev Conditioning Scheduling application using a Visual Basic COM object developed in-house, an Oracle database, ASP, HTML and XML connections to an R/3 database. ASH, SystemTracking, and Plasmid Preps applications established applications that were converted from FoxPro 2.0 to FoxPro 5.0. Small changes were made to increase speed and improve performance.
