Lithic is Colorado's first manufacturing company that produces a variety of products using crickets as their base of protein. Founded in 2015, Lithic is rapidly integrating approachable, culturally appropriate and delicious products into the American diet while focusing on the nutritious, economical, and environmentally sustainable aspects of our protein source.

Served as a staff officer for 12th Marine Corps District leading all public affairs, community relations, and media engagment activites for a command represented by a colonel (O-6) with the primary focus of assisting recruiting efforts for the entire West Coast. My team planned and coordinated with recruiting stations on the West Coast responsible for 1.5 million square miles to ensure maximum positive exposure for the Marine Corps leveraging both internal and external communication strategy.Served as a staff officer and public affairs subject matter expert for the commanding officer, a colonel, of a Marine Expeditionary Unit which is comprised of roughly 2,200 Marines and sailors. Our area of operations in the Asia-Pacific region is one of the most visible and highlighted areas of the world due to global security and economic concerns. Our unit deploys semi-annually throughout the region in several highly sensitive areas, which generates significant media interest and requires a robust public/media communication strategy. My mission was to educate and inform our audiences of current operations with accurate and timely information while maintaining operational security.Skills: mass media and reporter liaison, subj. matter expert prep., interviewing (print and video), billeted official speaker/representative of command, strategic communication planning, conducting/managing press releases and conferences, coordination of media embedding.
