Research mentor: Dr. Larisa NonnMy research focuses on the functions of small noncoding RNA. I was a Urology Care Foundation Research Scholar investigating the PIWIL protein/piRNA system in prostate. I have extensive experience in primary cell organoid culture, tissue microarray staining and histology, in situ hybridization, eCLIP library preparation and most standard molecular biology techniques. I also have experience in the analysis of RNA sequencing data, ChIP-seq data, microarray data, and single-cell transcriptomic data through command line tools and R/Bioconductor, including differential gene expression and pathway analysis.

I completed a 3-month ACCET-accredited intensive data science training program. Material focused on machine learning in Python and completing one group and four independent projects. My projects were:-Detecting Tumor Mutational Signatures with a CNN-NLP of Cell Biology Abstracts-Overall Survival of Clinical Trials-Predicting Vinyl Record Prices-NYC subway volunteer placement

I edited a variety of medical and life sciences manuscripts to prepare them for publication.

I applied many in vitro and in vivo techniques including cell culture, mouse models, lentivirus, cloning, site-directed mutagenesis, RT-qPCR, luciferase assays, western blots and ChIP.
