Büro collaborates with artists and engineers through multiple media to propose design solutions for a wide range of projects.Gisela's design was chosen as finalist and first runner-up in the World Trade Center Memorial Competition, the largest design competition in history. Other awards include: New York State Council of the Arts fellowship (2005), Kinne Fellow Prize (1994) and Honor Award for Excellence in Design, Columbia University (1994) and Fulbright Scholarship (1993).
