- Rewrote engineering design guide for pipe support discipline. Researched code (ASME, AISC, ACI, AWS, UBC), project, and contractual requirements to ensure conformance in design practices, and incorporated numerous managerial directives and best practices into official documentation. New version aligned work process, methodology, and documentation across multiple design offices across the U.S., while drastically expanding content and improving document clarity and usability.- Provided preliminary content for development of mandatory training session to familiarize engineers with content changes and additions to pipe support design guide.- Created analysis tool to perform qualification of undercut concrete anchor bolts per ACI 349 nuclear safety code requirements. Developed training module, tutorial, and sample calculation to support distribution of new tool to engineering for use.- Acted as a Bechtel engineering representative in CSU East Bay teacher credentialing workshop, providing feedback and recommendations on course curriculum and lab projects. Workshop focused on incorporating a STEM approach to the new science-focused pilot program.- Led workplace wellness campaign, focused around a 15-minute group stretching program, to promote and contribute to improved employee health and reduce risk of repetitive stress injuries. Taught and distributed stretching program to HR representative that rolled out the campaign in other offices across the country.

- Acted as pipe support lead for Low Pressure Steam nuclear grade (ITS) piping system, and was point of contact for cross-team coordination of design evolution. Coordinated production work load among three engineers.- Performed calculation supporting the use of three pre-qualified standard support configurations for project use. Analysis resulted in reduced allowable loads compared to previous governing calculation; performed project-wide audit of existing support to identify at-risk designs. Supplied recommended course of action, including alternate design proposals, for all designs failing reduced design capacities.- Provided engineering review of construction deficiency reports and field change requests, and provided recommended course of action, whether qualifying as-built/as-installed materials or providing modification details.- Identified challenges and trained colleagues on new software procedures and work processes. Coordinated production work load among 3 engineers.- Minimized construction and fabrication costs by incorporating constructability and transportation considerations, minimizing field work required, and utilizing bulk materials.- Participated in project-wide piping audit to determine potential hydrogen gas accumulation points within pipes carrying nuclear waste.- Founded, along with three other engineers, the Oakland chapter of Bechtel's NextGen group, a worldwide young engineers group focused on leadership, networking, professional development, and community outreach.
