Baxter Drennon is an experienced trial attorney having served as lead counsel in hundreds of cases and as trial counsel in over a dozen cases. Baxter recently tried three cases in four months, all resulting in defense verdicts. Baxter is considered a leader among his peers. Since 2010, Baxter has been actively involved in the Defense Research Institute (DRI), serving as the Chair of the Young Lawyers Committee in 2018-2019. Baxter was elected to the DRI Board of Directors in 2019. Through his involvement in DRI, Baxter is regularly called upon to write and present on issues related to litigation, law-practice management, and products liability. Since 2013, Baxter has been annually named a “Rising Star” in litigation by Mid-South Super Lawyers.Baxter often assists product manufacturers, including manufacturers in the aerospace, automotive, heating & cooling, electrical component and vertical transportation industries, in the defense of their products. In addition, Baxter often advises businesses related to commercial disputes. In a recent breach of contract case, Baxter was a part of a trial team that received a multi-million dollar verdict on behalf of a group of emergency medicine providers. Baxter rounds his practice out by serving as counsel to several municipal water and wastewater entities. Through this experience, Baxter had an opportunity to serve as legal counsel in the first privatization of a water utility on a military installation in the State of Arkansas.Baxter currently serves as a board member for Pathfinder, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to the development and implementation of individualized strategies designed to provide citizens with developmental disabilities and behavioral needs with total access to community life.
