Bayan Khalaf, a Palestinian researcher, was born on October 7, 1992. She is a specialist in water purification and higher education teaching with working experience of over 7 years, a co-founder of Palestine Youth Parliament of Water since 2022, a program coordinator at Tamkeen Organization for Women’s Empowerment since 2020, and a visiting researcher at Forschungszentrum Jülich in Germany in 2019. Bayan holds a PhD (2021), and a MSc (2016) in Physical and Analytical Chemistry from An-Najah National University. She graduated from Arab American University with a bachelor's degree in Chemistry in 2014. Bayan has participated in 14 scientific papers and 4 international fellowships; she has won 13 awards and research grants (nationally and internationally) for her scientific contributions. Her research projects are mostly concentrated on adsorption-related water treatment, her main goal is to be always a highly effective person in the world and hence be able to improve the situation in the community scientifically and economically to a higher level. Bayan has frequently attended and presented at international scientific events in Egypt, Turkey, Senegal, Korea, Palestine, Germany, and Jordan, she has also been invited and nominated to several workshops and conferences locally and internationally. Furthermore, Bayan has good experience in voluntary work, where she is instrumental in organizing national conferences and outreach events for youth.
