* Developed and maintain a web GIS system (SUFUN) which is a Satellite-Based Commercial Vessel Tracking System to monitor the daily traffic of more than 30000~ ships around the world based on Automatic Identification System (AIS) satellites including: - Independently researched and developed improvements of data importers script code including analyzing and solving real-life AIS data problems. - Improved the performance and availability of the system by deploying message-broker software that implemented the Advanced Message Queuing Protocol on the system (RabbitMQ). - Focused on backend web development along with front end implementation. - Maintain, support and improve the performance of the application in production. - Contributed to the development of spatial databases and continuously enhancing the SQL queries that increased the overall system performance. - Provide primary system administration, configuration, and troubleshooting of the Linux environment and resolve servers performance issues * Developed and designed software programs for ground station systems, i.e. satellite imaging requests handling and satellite imaging planning for SaudiSat-5 that have been launched in December 2018. * Developed scalable systems for human resources department such as (HR Competencies Portal). * Contributed to the development of a new On-Board Computer (OBC) for national satellites that uses real-time operating system and worked on the satellite flight software tools that handled log & telemetry files. * Researched primary technological developments to determine whether implementation into organizational processes was efficient and feasible.
