Conducted intakes with medically vulnerable individuals incarcerated at Oakland County Jail. Engaged in extensive research and drafting of a letter to Michigan Supreme Court to preserve Fifth and Sixth Amendment rights of pre-trial detainees during COVID-19. Drafted the most pressing legal inquires of transgender and gender nonconforming folk to revise the LGBT Know Your Rights school manual. Surveyed state courts through legal search engines on the applicability of fee shifting statutes on pro bono work. Assembled legislative history, cases, and legal arguments into an educational issue brief on the relationship between FOIA statutes and 8 CFR § 236.6.

Counseled clients on humanitarian parole, naturalization, and deferred action. Passionately advocated for and obtained an extension of humanitarian parole. Made repeated appearances in immigration court pursuant to an asylum application. Drafted various legal memorandums and an asylum brief.
