As a volunteer with the Clearwater Marine Aquarium within the Aquatic Biology department, I have gained relevant experience working hands-on with several species including an array of different fish, stingrays, sharks, snakes, sea turtles, aquatic turtles, and tortoise. I have accumulated 300 hours of volunteer work equivalent to an internship and learned valuable knowledge on husbandry, food and diet, prep, animal training, recordkeeping, and facility management/upkeep. Lastly, I've developed comfortability with public speaking and an eagerness to help guests learn more about resident animals and conservation programs.
