As a persevering bank teller with an interest and passion for human resources, I bring a special combination of financial knowledge and interpersonal skills. I am currently pursuing a master’s degree in Human Resource Management at Texas A&M University’s Mays Business school. My goal is to leverage my academic training, critical thinking skills, and customer service experience in an HR associate role, where I can contribute to organizational excellence and effectivenessIn my position as a bank teller, I have been able to sharpen providing remarkable customer service while also handling proprietary and sensitive financial dealings. I have managed various tasks in a swift environment. The experiences in my role as a bank teller have taught me the significance of critical thinking, research and decision-making skills, and forming well-grounded personal relationships: all of which are skills that are transferable to an HR position or role. As an undergraduate of Texas A&M University who majored in Psychology, I have gained bountiful knowledge and diverse skills that are relevant to an HR role. I obtained strong written and verbal communication skills, knowledge of psychological principles, and the ability to gather and interpret data and information. My experience as a psychology undergraduate equipped me with knowledge that can be used in various HR processes, such as recruitment, training, employee motivation and retention, and conflict resolution. As I continue to pursue my master’s degree in Human Resource Management, I am eager to gain further comprehension and insight into HR management practices. Specifically, I am interested in the areas of training and development, employee relations, and performance management, but am ultimately open to gaining experience in any area of HR.
