PHILOSOPHYIterative, elegant, human-driven design is required to solve the world's most complex challenges. Not through over-simplification, but by embracing the inherent complexity in systems and technology design. In order to do so, we must cross-breed industry knowledge, build external and internal feedback loops to keep us from building in silos, and always revisit what our research is telling us and where our vision is leading us. I am a technological optimist, and believe that refined systems and technology design can solve the various shortages and crisis we have across the world. However, in order to do so, and to do so enjoyably, we must keep the human story at the heart of everything we build. I am currently studying architecture at Columbia University and am interested in applying a decade of design leadership and thinking to a new discipline. Particular interests include exhibition design, restaurant interior design, and event stage design. I am also interested in pursuing contract and freelance work in user research, as user research is at the core of any design language I pursue. A FEW WINSSince 2014, I’ve built and led global design teams in the ideation and construction of brand-driven digital products across medical technology, luxury fashion, environmental tech, impact investing, and education-based technologies. Within those industries, I have raised stealth and early stage prototyping that landed $22M in funding and secured partnerships with Kaiser Permanente, the NHS, Boston Scientific, Tech de Monterrey, school districts across the United States, and Anthropologie.
