About Baylor J Beers, E.I.T.
When I was a little boy, I knew that I wanted to be in the outdoors and I told myself that I would do everything I could to fulfill that dream. Almost every job that I held before finishing college was in the greater outdoors of Wyoming. While this made me immensely happy, it taught me things that I may never have learned doing other things.By living my life with an "outdoor code", I've learned to be self-reliant, to time manage, and that a job isn't finished until it's done right. This, coupled with my innate ability to learn quickly, has seriously aided in what has become of my career thus far.I graduated from the University of Wyoming with a B.S. in civil engineering with a 3.720 GPA. I was a member of Tau Beta Pi and National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Furthermore, I was the president of the UW Fly Fishing Club. My road construction experience began while I was in college where I worked as temporary construction worker for two summers with the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT). Not only did this introduce me to the basis of civil engineer, but it taught me invaluable skills that will help for years to come. In my final year of college I began working as an design assistant for WYDOT. This on furthered my experience with road construction as it incorporated the design side of the equation. Now, I am working full time as a civil engineer graduate as a road design engineer for WYDOT. If I've learned anything, dreams do come true if you put in the appropriate amount of work for them.
