Dixons is a retail store that deals mainly in electronic items from TVs to computers to digital cameras. I was promoted from a temp to operations manager after my first two months. This was a multi role position which included sales, customer service, technical support and merchandising. Responsibilities included branch invoicing for stock deliveries, perpetual inventory counts and general management of shop's warehouse.

Worked as an intern at Maxis, a mobile telecommunications operator in Malaysia. Maxis was in the process of installing GPRS into their network. My work included producing handover documentation and work orders, collecting and organizing information for forecasting network capacity and GPRS network testing. While working there I was exposed to TEMS, which is a network cell-planning tool, and AutoCAD. I learned about GSM and GPRS. I was given some responsibilities and also learned to work with others when I had to go out to the field on my own and work with engineers from other companies.
